Lidia Alexandrovna Kozmina (born 1966) is a Russian painter and graphic artist, and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. She graduated from the Vladivostok Art College and later from the Far Eastern Pedagogical Institute of Arts, where she studied painting under Professor Viktor N. Doronin. Kozmina is a participant in the international women artists’ association Flowers of the World, bringing together artists from Russia, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, and Australia. An active participant in regional, national, and international exhibitions, Kozmina’s works are represented in the collections of state museums and private collections in Russia and abroad. Art critic Alexander Lobychev observed that “Lidia Kozmina’s work reveals recurring motifs, images, and symbols preserved within the treasury of world art. This is particularly evident in her engagement with medieval manuscript illumination and the Russian folk lubok tradition. At the same time, the precision of line, graphic expressiveness, and atmosphere of decadence in her work derive from the Art Nouveau movements of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.” In both her graphic art and painting, Kozmina creates a distinctive synthesis of Eastern and Western artistic traditions. Her works are characterized by decorative sophistication, symbolic richness, and an intricate linear language that transforms landscape motifs into poetic visual narratives. The series Trace of the Sea is devoted to the maritime geography and cultural memory of Vladivostok and the surrounding coast. In Truda Bay, the artist interprets the landscape not merely as a topographical location but as a repository of memory and emotion. Through the expressive use of coloured ink and pen, Kozmina creates a layered image in which natural forms, symbolic motifs, and decorative rhythms merge into a unified and contemplative composition.
