Nikita Evgenyevich Grishchenko (born 2003) is a self-taught artist from Ussuriysk. Deaf since childhood, he independently discovered and mastered the artistic technique known as WPAP (Wedha’s Pop Art Portrait). WPAP is a contemporary portrait style in which an image is broken down into geometric planes rendered in vivid, high-contrast colours. While traditionally created using vector-based digital tools, the technique requires exceptional skill in constructing a recognizable likeness through angular lines and complex geometric forms. Grishchenko has developed a distinctive approach by translating this digital visual language into handcrafted three-dimensional artworks. Using coloured cardstock and plastic, he carefully cuts and assembles each component by hand, creating layered portraits that combine graphic precision, sculptural relief, and striking colour relationships. Currently residing in Ussuriysk, he is pursuing studies in culinary arts while continuing to develop his artistic practice. Entirely self-taught, Grishchenko demonstrates remarkable dedication, technical ingenuity, and creative independence. This portrait of Albert Einstein highlights the artist’s ability to reinterpret one of the most iconic figures of modern science through the dynamic geometry and vibrant chromatic language of WPAP.
