Rav Elazar Lowe (1839-1918) authored the Shu"t Pekudat Elazar. He was the son of Rav Yirmiyahu Lowe av”d Ujhely, author of Divrei Yirmiyahu; son of the author of the Sha’arei Torah; son of the Shemen Rokeach. He succeeded his father as av”d in Ujhely, serving there for 12 years, before moving to Ungvar where he taught many talmidim in his yeshivah. (Cohen, Chachmei Hungaria, p. 408; Fuchs, Hayeshivot B’Hungaria, p. 193).
