Hilchot Rav Alfas is an 11th Century Halachic work in Aramaic, authored by The Rif, Rabbi Yitzchak Alfasi, Morocco. In contrast to other Rishonim who wrote complex Halachic debates and Talmudic discourses, The Rif wrote his composition in a straightforward fashion. The book summarizes Halachic matters of Sedarim Mo’ed, Nashim and Nezikin and Masechet Brachot. It some instances the Rif’s version differs from the Ashkenazi one. The Rif adopted the Halachic approach of Talmud Bavli over Yerushalmi. He also combined Aggadah, Midrash and Ethics in his writings. Constantinople, 1509. First edition.
