Mikhnov-Voitenko Evgeny Grigorievich (1932-1988). Abstract expressionism. The Russian artist belonged to "unofficial art". Graduated from the production department of the Theater Institute, course teacher Nikolay Akimov. Oleg Tselkov and Eduard Kochergin studied at the same time as Mikhnov. He worked as a designer at the Leningrad Art Fund. The leader of the older generation of the Leningrad underground, he was friends with L. Aronzon, A. Knaifel, B. Ponizovsky. From 1956 he became interested in abstract painting. One of the first to start working in an abstract expressionist manner.
