After the death of the master, more than a thousand of his paintings were taken to the United States, catalogs of his works were published there and dozens of exhibitions were held. The master's paintings are in the collections of the Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, museums and private collections in the United States and Europe. In 1933 he was admitted to the first year of the painting faculty of the IZhSA VAKh. He studied with M. D. Bernstein, A. A. Rylov, A. M. Lyubimov, V. A. Serov and I. I. Brodsky, “an outstanding master of official art (at that time, competition in official art was extremely high, and to achieve the highest degrees of fame, one had to be a really big professional). However, he took from Brodsky what the old master, busily celebrating the new era, had put into storerooms - a remarkable lyrical feeling, a keen compositional instinct, a keen attention to mental states and moods.               N.
