A student of I. Brodsky, R. Franz, B. Iogonson. The painting “Rest after the battle. Vasily Terkin ”(1951) brought Y. Neprintsev national fame. People's Artist of the USSR (1965). Laureate of the Stalin Prize. From 1948 to 1996 taught as a professor (1954), head of a personal workshop. Corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1953). Full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1970).          The works are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, in numerous museums and private collections in Russia, China, Japan, USA, France, Germany, Italy and other countries.
