         ; ;    Brodsky Valentin Yakovlevich (1905 - 1981). Studied at Vkhutemas (1922-1924). Pupil P.A. Schillingovsky. He also studied in the studios of A.D. Silina and M.V. Dobuzhinsky. He graduated from the Higher Courses of Art History (1929).


            Artist-consultant at the Gorky Automobile Plant (1934-1940). The models developed by him or with his direct participation played a significant role in the development of domestic design and automotive practice. Those of them that went into production were well known at one time - this is the M-1, M-1 chaise, the small KIM-Yu. He taught at IZhSA (1935-1941), Leningrad State University (since 1947). For twenty years he was at the head of criticism and art criticism of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Author of a number of works on fine arts and industrial aesthetics.
        &a mp;n bsp;   In 1965, his book "How the Machine Became Beautiful" was published, which describes the history of industrial design, both transport and in general, and talks about the contribution of Soviet artists to industrial design.
            Participant of the famous exhibition in London in 1961 at the Grosvenor Gallery of the famous collector and art dealer Eric Estoric.
