The group's schizophrenic actions, combining the languages ​​of modern Western philosophy and psychoanalysis, Taoism and Orthodoxy, in a form of artistic madness with a significant element of irony and self-irony, summed up the metaphysical work of the older generation of conceptualists. The group coined concepts that became characteristic of the conceptual school as a whole, such as ”noma” (objects, apparatuses, and installations designed to stem the flow of interpretation) and ”kolobok-like” (a mythological figure of ”elusion” in the aesthetic discourse of the Moscow conceptual school). ”Medical Hermeneutics” was one of the most striking phenomena in the artistic life of the capital at the end of the 20th century. Their aesthetics were based on various forms of recording and documentation. The group's members collaborated with the journal ”Mesto Pechati.” Pepperstein (co-authored with S. Anufriev) wrote the schizophrenia novel ”Mythogenic Love of Castes” and three collections of short stories on his own. Since the late 1990s, he has worked solo. He is known as a critic and cultural scholar. In recent years, he has successfully pursued rap and slam poetry.
