He later became one of the leaders of the New Wilds group. From 1986 to 1996, Maslov collaborated with Sergei Kuryokhin's Pop Mechanic Orchestra as an artist and actor. From 1993 to 2006, Maslov collaborated with the renowned brush and chisel virtuoso Viktor Kuznetsov. Their collaborative works, such as the large-scale 3.2 x 5.3 m canvas ”The Triumph of Homer” (1997), have become classics of Neoacademic Art.
