Raymer Society will be auctioning art from the estate of Hal Wright of McPherson, KS. Over 250 lots will be on live and silent auction. 


The artworks may be previewed at the Red Barn Studio Museum 212 S. Main St. Lindsborg, KS from January 23th- 25th. Artworks will also be on display day of the auction on January 27th, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 224 S. Main St. Lindsborg, KS. Doors open at 9:00 AM, Auction begins at 10:00 AM.

Ebaugh, Max "Harvest Time" etching, pencil signed lower right, good condition, image size: 12 x 15.75 inches. Max was born on December 4, 1918, in rural McPherson County, KS. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1936 and served in the Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. Max is most remembered for being a talented artist. He had dabbled in art when he was a young man, but became serious about woodcarving in the 1960s. He branched from there to etchings, acrylic painting and sculpture. He taught others interested in sculpture in his garage. He continued painting until two years before his death.
