A Carved Dark Wood Folding Buddhist Triptych Shrine - A dark wood folding triptych shrine, characteristic of traditional Buddhist devotional art, likely of Southeast Asian provenance. When closed, it presents as an elongated, dome-topped case, extensively decorated on its exterior with deeply carved floral, foliate, and patterned motifs, including apparent lotus blossoms and granular textures. When opened, the triptych reveals three distinct carved figures: a central seated Buddha in meditation on a lotus pedestal, flanked by two standing or kneeling monastic figures holding alms bowls, each resting on a lotus base. All figures are set within intricately carved arched niches featuring additional decorative patterns. Measures approximately 15 cm tall.
