Italian Capodimonte Polychrome Ceramic Jardiniere on Pedestal, circa Early 20th Century - An Italian Capodimonte polychrome glazed ceramic jardiniere on pedestal, circa early 20th century. Both components feature extensive high-relief molded decoration in a classical or Bacchic revival style. The planter is adorned with numerous cherubic figures (putti) intertwined with lush foliage and grapevines. The hexagonal pedestal base and capital are decorated with similar motifs, including additional putti, garlands, ribbons, and acanthus leaves. The overall color palette consists of greens, reds, yellows, and browns on a cream or off-white ground. The underside bears a printed mark featuring a crowned 'N' above 'CAPODIMONTE' and 'MADE IN ITALY'. Height: 95-96 cm (approximately 37.5 inches)
