A Group of Eight Vintage Wooden Cigar and Cardboard Match Boxes - This lot comprises eight vintage boxes, predominantly wooden, with one larger cardboard box containing smaller matchboxes. The seven wooden boxes, largely consistent with cigar boxes, vary in size and finish, featuring labels and impressed text including ”Lord Hamlet” (from Cope Brothers & Co. Ltd., England), ”Larra” (manufactured by Por Larranaga, S.A., Jamaica, with a visible ”Guar” stamp showing a map of Jamaica), ”Specially Selected Aldonia Havana Fillers, ” ”Boreta Finest Havana Blend De Luxe, ” ”P.P.P. Havana Blended, ” and ”Manchellos High-Class.” One wooden box is also marked ”Alexandrina 50.” The largest wooden box features a decorative brass escutcheon.
