Late Victorian German Badische Uhrenfabrik Oak Bracket Clock. - A Late Victorian German Badische Uhrenfabrik architectural mantel or shelf clock, presented in a dark-stained hardwood case. The case features classical revival elements including carved columns, a stepped base, a pediment-like top with a sunburst carving, and a turned finial. The front glass panel reveals a brass dial with a silvered chapter ring displaying Roman numerals, an ornate gilt-decorated center, and four ornate spandrels. Visible text on the dial identifies ”WESTMINSTER” above the center, indicating a Westminster chime movement, and ”GERMANY” below. The brass clock movement, visible through the rear access, bears a ”B” stamp, consistent with Badische Uhrenfabrik (BUF) production. The clock is an eight-day movement.
