A Three-Piece Sadler 'Old Coach House' Coaching Scene Ceramic Tea Set, circa 1930s. - A three-piece ceramic tea set by Sadler, featuring the 'Old Coach House' Coaching Scene pattern, dating to the mid-20th century. Comprising a teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, and a creamer. Each piece is decorated with a central oval vignette depicting an ”Old Coach House York” street scene with historical figures and horse-drawn carriages, framed by an elaborate gilded border. The cream-toned bodies are further embellished with a repeating gold floral or leafy pattern. The lids are adorned with a gilded bow finial. The undersides of the sugar bowl bear a crown mark, ”SADLER, ” ”MADE IN ENGLAND, ” and handwritten codes such as ”1763 MM” or ”1761 AW.”
