An octagonal, veneered wooden music box, identified through web intelligence as an Italian inlay burl elm musical jewelry box featuring a Reuge movement. The hinged lid displays a lustrous burlwood grain, adorned with a marquetry inlay depicting a spray of three yellow/cream roses with green leaves. A small brass-toned keyhole escutcheon is visible on the front. The interior is lined with salmon-pink velvet or felt and divided into compartments. A label on the underside of the lid reads ”REUGE MUSIC, ” ”Memory A. L. Webber, ” ”1/36,” and ”1915,” indicating the Reuge movement and tune.
