An African carved wood walking stick, featuring an elaborately carved, dark wooden form. The object presents with a loop-shaped handle at the top, followed by two decorative bands with incised diagonal lines. Below these is a stylized human head carved in profile, depicting prominent facial features and what appears to be a pointed beard or chin protrusion. The shaft continues with a section displaying horizontal hatch marks, followed by various contoured and fluted segments along its tapering length, terminating in a blunt base. The wood exhibits a dry, dark patina with visible grain. An indistinct, potentially alphanumeric mark is faintly visible on one section, but unreadable.
