A pair of glazed ceramic royal commemorative pieces. The first, a lidded casket, is identified as Maling Ware, bearing the green printed mark ”RINGTONS LTD R NEWCASTLE ON TYNE MalingWare” to the base. This octagonal-based casket features two small handles and polychrome transfer prints on opposing sides: one portrait of King George VI alongside ”MAY 12 KING GEORGE VI 1937 CORONATION, ” and another of Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother) with ”MAY 12 QUEEN ELIZABETH 1937 CORONATION.” The lid is inscribed ”ROYAL SOUVENIR CASKET” and ”LONG MAY THEY REIGN.” The second item is a pitcher with a scalloped rim and molded relief decoration, featuring a blue and white base transitioning to a white body. It is adorned with a central polychrome transfer print of King George V and Queen Mary, a coat of arms, and the inscription ”CORONATION JUNE 22ND 1911.” Pitcher height: 22.5 cms Casket height: 19 cms
