A Smiths Enfield Art Deco Mantel Clock. This vintage domed mantel clock is housed in a dark-stained wooden case, featuring subtle reeded or fluted detailing on the front pilasters. The circular dial is protected by a glass cover and framed by a brass-toned bezel. It displays a creamy white outer ring with black Arabic numerals for 1 through 10 and 12, with two vertical strokes resembling 'II' for the 11 o'clock position, surrounding a darker, possibly wood-grained, central face. Stylized gold-toned hour and minute hands are present, along with two winding holes. ”MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN” is printed at the 6 o'clock mark. The hinged back door opens to reveal a brass-toned mechanical movement, visibly engraved with ”SMITHS” (stylized), ”MADE IN GT. BRITAIN”, and ”BY SMITHS CLOCKS & WATCHES LTD”, alongside a visible pendulum spring.
