A Harrison Brothers & Howson Victorian silver-mounted three-piece cased carving set. The oval, hinged case is covered in a dark brown, textured material resembling leatherette, with gold tooling along the edges, and is lined with deep purple velvet. Within the fitted interior are a carving knife, a sharpening steel, and a carving fork, all featuring cream-colored handles of bone or bone-simulating material, adorned with ornate, embossed silver caps and ferrules, Letter date N, Birmingham silver. The carving knife's steel blade is visibly marked 'ALPHA' beneath a crown symbol. Accompanying the cased set are two additional carving forks: one with a matching cream-colored handle of bone or bone-simulating material and a blade marked 'STAINLESS STEEL,' and another featuring a natural stag horn handle with similarly ornate silver-colored metal mounts.
