19th Century French Black Slate Mantel Clock This 19th century French mantel clock features an architectural-style black slate case with a stepped base and top. The front panel is decorated with incised floral motifs. The circular dial is designed with a polished gold-toned center and a black chapter ring featuring gilt Roman numerals, protected by a hinged glass bezel. The internal mechanical movement is visible through a circular metal access panel on the reverse of the case. The lot is accompanied by a brass-toned pendulum and a metal winding key. Working but needs pendulum fitting.
