Anthony Johnston and Co. Ironstone Vine Border Pattern Serving Platter. An octagonal ironstone serving platter featuring a dark blue or black transfer-printed design in the Vine Border pattern by Anthony Johnston and Co. (A.J. and Co.). The central well is decorated with various botanical sprigs, including morning glory and pansy-style blooms, framed by a continuous border of fruiting grapevines and foliage. The reverse displays a transfer-printed cartouche mark for VINE BORDER / A.J. and Co., alongside an impressed oval ironstone mark and other small factory markings.
