A mid-century mantel clock featuring a dial marked Atlanta Univers. The circular clock head is encased in a brass-toned metal frame with an ornate, openwork radial lattice design, supported by a short stem on a flared, circular pedestal base. The dial has a golden sunburst finish with a smoked effect at the outer edge, featuring applied gilt hour markers with square pyramids at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and circular dots for the remaining hours. It has two gilt hands, with the hour hand featuring a decorative pierced design. The dial is further marked 2 Jewels and Foreign at the six o'clock position. The rear movement plate is marked with the serial number 93157, 7R, and an oval mark for F. Heuthe, Germany. The mechanical wind-up movement contains two jewels and includes a winding key and a regulator lever marked with plus and minus symbols. Height: 17cm.
