A Victorian brass tea kettle by Joseph Clews of Birmingham. The vessel is designed with a squat, bulbous body formed from two horizontal sections joined at a central seam. The base is struck with the maker's mark consisting of the initials J.C above a B, flanked by two upward-pointing arrows, with a small circle below. This mark identifies the piece as being manufactured in Birmingham during the 19th century. Height: 17 cm.
