A mid-20th-century pedestal potpourri jar and cover, produced by Wade Heath under the Wade's Hinton brand. The printed mark is a brown backstamp featuring a crown above a banner reading WADE'S, which sits atop a globe motif with a central banner reading HINTON, with STOKE-ON-TRENT and ENGLAND below. Hand-painted marks include the number 2 and a pattern or shape number 4545 in gold script, along with a small black tally mark. Height: 16.5 cm.
