A large stoneware jug was manufactured by the Moira Pottery Co. of Leicestershire, England, under the brand name Hillstonia. The piece is designed in a rustic log-ware style, featuring a body moulded with a textured, bark-like surface. It is encircled by three relief-moulded bands simulating barrel hoops, complete with rivet details. The jug includes a spout integrated into the upper rim and a handle formed in the shape of a gnarled tree branch. The exterior is finished with a characteristic matte buff and brown wash glaze. The base features a black printed mark reading Hillstonia in a stylised script.
