This lot comprises two Chinese-style decorative items. The first is a figurine of a caparisoned horse, modelled in the style of Tang dynasty funerary pottery figures. The second item is a miniature decorative egg, possibly natural shell or ceramic, supported by an ornate three-legged gilt-metal stand. The egg is hand-painted in a traditional style depicting a female figure in a red robe among bamboo branches.
