A mid-century West German pottery vase by Scheurich Keramik. This large cylindrical vessel features a tapered shoulder and a prominent, thick, rounded rim. The exterior is decorated in a high-contrast monochrome palette, characteristic of the fat lava style. It features textured and bubbled black horizontal bands applied over a smooth white background. The white glazed sections exhibit fine, intentional crazing throughout. The rim, shoulder, and base are finished in a glossy black glaze. The base is marked with the incised form number 517-30 and embossed W. GERMANY. Height: 30 cm.
