An Art Nouveau period polychrome painted bisque ceramic bust of a maiden, after the model by Antonio Garella (1863-1919). The figure is portrayed in a contemplative pose with her head tilted downwards and to her right, wearing a laurel leaf wreath. The reverse of the shoulder bears several incised marks including a cursive signature for Schmidt, the date 1902, and the model number 15812. Height: 23.5 cm Width: 26 cm.
