Bidspirit auction | A mid-20th century Dunlop Panther

A mid-20th century Dunlop Panther wooden tennis racket featuring a laminated wood frame with red, white, and yellow decorative banding at the shoulders. The throat is decorated with a graphic of a leaping leopard and the model name PANTHER. The shaft displays a white painted band with the cursive script Specially made by Dunlop. The racket is strung with natural gut and fitted with a black textured leather grip. It is contained within a trapezoidal wooden press stamped with a circular mark for BUSSEY LONDON. The press also bears a handwritten ink name FRAIN-BELL to one side.
