Bidspirit auction | A mid-20th-century decorative wall plaque

A mid-20th-century decorative wall plaque consisting of a rectangular relief-moulded copper panel mounted on a wooden board. The central composition features a three-tiered fountain flanked by two stylised, confrontational peacocks with long, decorative tail feathers. The design is embellished with champleve-style enamel fills in a palette of deep burgundy, teal, cream, and black. The scene is further decorated with stylised foliate scrolls and leaves against a hammered copper background. The metal panel is fixed to a dark-stained wooden mount with a bevelled edge by four domed metal studs in the corners. The reverse of the wooden mount features a single metal hanging bracket.
