A vintage British full-length umbrella featuring a Paragon frame by S. Fox and Co. Limited of Sheffield. The piece is constructed with a classic black fabric canopy and a distinctive hooked whangee bamboo handle. The internal metal frame and ribs are finished in a gold tone. The whangee handle is embellished with multiple decorative silver-toned metal bands featuring an embossed beaded design. A small metal ring is attached to the upper section of the handle. The internal frame ribs are stamped with the characters: PARAGON, followed by a leaping fox logo, then S. FOX and CO LIMITED MADE IN ENGLAND. An additional stamp on a separate rib reads PEERLESS.
