A Large mid-20th-century West German ceramic Rumtopf (rum pot) manufactured by Scheurich Keramik. The twin-handled lidded jar is of ovoid form, traditionally used for the preservation of seasonal fruit in rum and sugar. The base is marked with the moulded inscriptions Scheurich-KERAMIK, 820-28, and W. GERMANY.
