Bidspirit auction | A West German nautical bulkhead

A West German nautical bulkhead or porthole wall clock by Staiger. Part of the Chrometron range, the clock features a circular polished brass case with a hinged front bezel for access to the dial and a rear mounting flange with three pre-drilled screw holes. The reverse holds a quartz battery-operated movement marked as requiring a 1.5V battery. The interior of the brass case contains several handwritten paper labels recording maintenance or battery changes dating between March 1992 and November 2009. Dimensions: Overall diameter of the base flange approximately 18 cm.
