Bidspirit auction | A late 20th-century Russian Khokhloma

A late 20th-century Russian Khokhloma lacquerware set, comprising a large bird-shaped bowl and six matching dipper-spoons. The pieces are crafted from hand-painted wood and decorated in the traditional ”Black Gold” style. The exterior surfaces feature the Kudrina pattern, characterized by dense, scrolling floral and foliage motifs in gold and ochre against a glossy black ground. The underside of the base displays a circular stamped mark containing the text HAND-MADE and MADE IN USSR surrounding a central emblem of a stylized bird.
