A hand-painted decorative ostrich egg signed by South African artist Marita du Toit. The shell features detailed portraits of the African Big Five wildlife, including a rhinoceros, lion, leopard, elephant, and Cape buffalo. The portraits are set against a textured, metallic gold-toned background and finished with a high-gloss lacquer coating. The egg is mounted on a carved, dark-toned circular stand with relief decoration. The signature Marita du Toit is present on the lower portion of the shell. Blue tack on bottom to keep egg in place.
