A decorative ceramic figure of a horse, modelled in the Chinese Tang Dynasty style. The horse is depicted in a standing pose on an integral rectangular plinth base. The piece is finished in a traditional Sancai (three-colour) palette consisting of amber-brown, green, and cream lead-type glazes. A fine, overall network of glaze crazing is visible, particularly on the cream-glazed mane and saddle areas, which is characteristic of this style of ceramic manufacture.
