A mid-20th century British mantel clock of Napoleon hat form, the oak case finished with a dark stain. MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN printed to the lower edge. To the reverse, a hinged door opens to an 8-day mechanical movement striking on a single coiled gong. The movement backplate is stamped with a circular logo for PERIVALE MADE IN ENGLAND. The interior of the door retains a paper care label and a gilt metal repairer label for THE CLOCK WORKSHOP, WEST KIRBY. Accompanied by a brass winding key stamped PERIVALE. No pendulum.
