The first cane features a T-shaped brass handle with a stippled texture mounted on a straight-grained light wood shaft, terminating in a rubber ferrule. The second cane has an L-shaped brass handle with cast floral and scrollwork decoration on a mahogany-toned wood shaft. The third example is a souvenir cane with a cast brass duck-head handle and a red-painted wood shaft, featuring applied badges for Devon and Ilfracombe. The fourth cane is a rustic dark wood stick, likely blackthorn, with a curved translucent horn handle and a dense collection of metal and enamelled souvenir badges including Wales, National Trust Northumbria, S.S. Great Britain Bristol, Scotland, Wells Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral, and Alnwick. The final cane is a rustic dark wood stick with an integral natural crook handle and an embossed brass collar featuring scroll patterns.
