The items are made from fine porcelain finished with a high-gloss black glaze and decorated with gold-toned transfer-printed Neoclassical scenes. Each base bears a gold-toned backstamp comprising the script initials L.T.R. within an oval cartouche, above the words FINE PORCELAIN and JAPAN.
