A lidded coffee pot and plate manufactured by Wedgwood, crafted from cream-coloured earthenware, also known as Queen's Ware. The vessel features a footed body in the Wellesley shape, characterised by a wide band of embossed floral and foliate relief. The base features a printed green underglaze factory mark which reads OF ETRURIA / MADE IN / ENGLAND / WEDGWOOD / WELLESLEY / U.S. DES. PAT. 90517 / & BARLASTON. This mark indicates production at the Barlaston factory after 1940. There is a handwritten artist or decorator signature in purple enamel, M. ADAMS, and various impressed characters including G and L Z 24 on the foot rim. The pot is fitted with a matching lid topped with a decorated knop finial.
