Bidspirit auction | An oval shell cameo pendant

An oval shell cameo pendant paired with a flat herringbone chain, both produced in 9ct gold. The pendant contains a carved shell cameo, the shell is secured by four gold prongs. The Italian chain is a herringbone style, composed of flat, interlocking links. The necklace is fastened with a standard spring ring clasp. Hallmarks are visible in several locations: the reverse of the pendant bale is impressed with the characters 375; the small jump ring connecting the pendant to the bale bears a partial hallmark including the characters 375; and the jump ring at the clasp end of the chain is stamped with the characters 375. 4.1 grams.
