The figure is shown with robes draped over the shoulders and arms. The piece is carved from a translucent pale green hardstone, identified as Type A jadeite. The material exhibits a waxy luster and natural internal clouding. The carving is rendered with stylized details on the face and garment folds. The reverse is unadorned and polished smooth.
