Early Victorian Gold Hair Memorial Brooch with Seed Pearls - The central oval glazed compartment contains decorative hairwork arranged in a Prince of Wales feathers motif, consisting of three plumes bound at the base with fine gold-tone wire and three small white seed pearls. The hairwork is set against a light-colored ground. The gold frame features a beaded inner border and four raised foliate bosses positioned at the compass points. The reverse of the brooch is fitted with a long hinged pin stem that extends beyond the frame and is secured by a C-clasp. Height: approximately 43 mm Width: approximately 36 mm. Weight; 22grams
