Chinese Silk Monk's Robe Patchwork Cloth - Patchwork cloth consisting of scraps of early Chinese silk monk's robes stitched together. Many of the scraps with elaborate embossing or other ornamentation. Similar to Tibetan Buddhist ritual clothes and mandalas which were often made of recycled or donated materials. Height: 40 1/2 in x width: 34 1/4 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: Some wear throughout including minute holes and signs of wear consistent with age. The canvas is loose on the stretcher. Wear along the exposed edges.
