Grp 2 19th c. Japanese Painted Wooden Doors - Group of two painted Japanese wooden doors, each depicting a falcon and waterfall, 19th century. (Each) height: 68 in x width: 37 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: Wear throughout consistent with age and use including some cracks, chips, scratches and small losses to the pigment along each painting, particularly the one with the falcon facing left. To the wood, there is also wear throughout consistent with age and use including chips to the lacquer along the extreme edges, some chips, and scuffs. There is a loss measuring approximatley four-inches by two-inches along the lower right corner of the door with the falcon facing left. Some wear to the versos including four felt tabs affixed to the corners of each door.
