Joichi Hoshi Abstract Woodblock Print 1963 - Joichi Hoshi (Japanese, 1913-1979). Woodblock print on paper depicting an abstracted composition in red and yellow, 1963. Pencil signed along the lower right; dated along the lower center; numbered 14/50 along the lower left. Seal in the lower right of the image. Height: 9 1/2 in x width: 12 1/2 in. Condition: There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations. Light handling marks including faint creases along the extreme edges of the margins. There are two minute areas of adhesive residue along the upper corners. Soiling along the verso, possibly original to the artistic process. The work is not framed.
