2 Peter Lupori Pastel on Paper Drawings - Peter Lupori (American, 1918-2014). Group of two pastel on paper drawings including: One depicting a geometric scene with a blue background, 1992. Pencil signed and dated along the lower right. One depicting a line work depicting abstract birds, 1994. Signed and dated along the lower right; typed ”LINWEAVE MILANO - Aqua - 25 x 38 - 75 (150M)” along the lower margin. Peter Lupori was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and educated in Italy with John Donald and William Reed. After his military service during the World War II, Lupori earned M.Ed. in art education and became an Instructor in Art at the University of Minnesota, Extension Division, and the Colleges of St. Catherine and St. Thomas in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions including the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the College of St. Catherine. There are no major tears, losses, or signs of restoration. There are a few areas of pigment transfer and light soiling along each, likely original to the artistic process. The works are each affixed to a mat. The works are not framed.
