3 18th c. Bird's Eye Etchings - Group of three 18th century aerial or bird's eye etchings of cities or estates. Including: Johannes Kip (Dutch, 1653-1722). Etching titled ”Sherborn the Seat of Sr. Ralph Dutton Bart.” depicting an English countryside estate, ca. 1720. From ”Brittania Illustrata or Views of Several of the Queens Palaces and also of the Principal Seats of the Nobility & Gentry of Great Britain.” David Coster (Dutch, ca. 1686-1752). Etching depicting a bird's eye view of the Cistercian Abbey of St. Bernard near Hemiksem, ca. 1726-1734. Jacobus Harrewijn (Dutch, 1660-1727) after Antonius Sanderus (Flemish, 1586-1664). Etching titled ”Celebrrima et Antiquissima Cemblacensis Oppidi Abbatia Ordinis S. Benedicti in Gallo Brabantia, ” ca. 1730. Provenance: From the Collection of Lynne Rossetto Kasper. (Sight) height ranges from 14 1/4 in to 15 in; width ranges from 17 in to 19 in. (Framed) height ranges from 21 in to 21 1/2 in; width ranges from 23 1/2 in to 25 1/2 in; depth ranges from 1/2 in to 3/4 in. Condition: There are no visible tears or losses. The sheets are toned. There is likely a central crease running vertically through each. Each are housed under mats. Framed under glass. Wear to the frames. Not inspected out of frames.
